Shigesato Itoi, creator of the Mother games, has a webcam set up in his office building's meeting/break room. An auto-updating feed can be seen here. Most of the time, there's no one in the room and nothing especially interesting happens, but every once in a while, Itoi will stick a few Mother-related things in front of the cam. In October 2005, a very rare figure of Mr. Saturn appeared on camera and led many to believe that a Mother 3 announcement was on the way soon. As it turns out, we were right. Not long after, it was announced that Mother 3 would be released in Japan in 2006.
