<center><img src="http://www.starmen.net/merchandise/images/main/np_banner_poll.png" border="0" /></center> <img src="http://www.starmen.net/merchandise/images/main/nppoll_main.jpg" class="picleft" /> In the latest issue of Nintendo Power, a new poll urges readers to email a list of their top 5 choices of Nintendo Classics that they would like to see on the Wii's Virtual Console. With our choices limited to only 5, I can think of 1 right off the bat. If we ever hope to see EarthBound on the Virtual Console we need to get EB on that list! And the higher, the better. So email NP today with the top 5 games you want to see on the VC. And be sure to put EB at the top of your list! <center><a href="mailto:[email protected]">[email protected]</a></center> This list is very important to the future of the VC in the US as it is the perfect chance to let Nintendo know what games we want to see. Many titles that they might just have written off could make it onto the VC if there is enough demand. Even though the disclaimer states that this is for polling purposes only, you can bet higher ups at Nintendo of America will be taking a good look at this list. We are not sure when NP will stop taking emails, so get your list in ASAP! (and props to hyruleboy & Tomato-san for the intell and llamapalooza & Jonk for the images)

You might want to avoid calling it "EarthBound Zero." NOA acknowledges it's name as being either "Mother" or "EarthBound (NES)." EarthBound Zero is pretty much a fan name for it, so they might suspect it's Starmen.net if they care.

It's been Stacy for a while.

Katon was indeed serious on his revelation, and here's why it makes a lot of great sense. We don't want to give those other popular games a big push, because since everyone else will be voting for them, if we do that as well then we'll only be helping those other big games beat Earthbound for the spot of most popular VC requested game. It's not that we want crappy games on VC, it's that we don't want to help popular games that will already be requested to beat Earthbound.

How about instead of voting for games you don't like, just list the MOTHER games and then nothing else. Your vote will still count, even if it's not for five games.

BOLDSTATE : FFVII should embrace the ugly, weird game it has become by not taking itself as seriously as its bloated Compilation.

Actually, since it sometimes feels like I'll never see the games I want on the VC, I'd mention any of the games I wanted besides Earthbound and Mother. Even if I don't get those two added to the VC, I could at least help push the envelope for another game I'd love to see... such as Soul Blazer, or any of Enix's old but awesome games.

Anywho, I'm off to go do this now.

I'm sure when they check their mailbox tomorrow and they have 100 new messages all of which include EarthBound they won't be suspicious.

1. EarthBound (SNES) - By far the best game people still haven't herd of and one of the most unique RPGs ever made. 2. Abadox (NES) - Any game with an alien organism named Parasitis who eats a whole planet must be released to the VC 3. Super Mario RPG (SNES) - Another great lighthearted RPG without all the swords, staffs, and axes but still includes saving the princess. 4. Battletoads (NES) - I can't beat it to this day but that doesn't take away from the fun. 5. Duck Hunt (NES) - With Wii Zapper compatibility! Can we get another chance to take out that laughing dog?

Oh, wow, this is fantastic! I sure hope this works, because I can't stand another chance for NoA to build Earthbound fans up just to let us down. My list pretty much looks like this:

1) Earthbound (Mother 2) 2) Earthbound Zero (Mother 1) 3) Yoshi's Story

And, uh... I couldn't think of any more, so I guess I'll just leave it at that... though maybe I should do some Starmen.net folks a solid and pick two other games off of other people's lists. Why waste an e-mail for VC requests? And I also told all of my friends about this in the hopes that they can send out e-mails as well. We gotta get as many EB e-mails in there as possible!

What are you talking about exactly? I haven't seen the magazine, so could you explain this?

Ah I just read the clipping, and it says for systems currently supported on the Virtual Console only, I don't think any GBA games are, and therefore, no Mother 3. Darn, I already sent in my email with that as my #1, oh well.

EarthBound and Mother. To be honest I was actually going to suggest the generation I and generation II Pokemon games if they could somehow implement some sort of online trading, but then I read for current systems on the VC only.

Of course don't think that I wouldn't suggest EB and Mother, too!
