Got lots of cool letters. It'd be cool if I could post them all, but that'd be annoying. The topics this week include the EB Funktastic Gameplay discussion, the Cheap EB, and continuous Petiton support.

What might this Funktastic Gameplay be? I haven't heard of before. It sounds interesting...

Last summer, Tomato proposed that we have a little event titled "EarthBound Funktastic Gameplay". It gave people a reason to play EarthBound again. Why? Well, every day on the site, I would post a certain part in the game that people would play up to. They stop there. Then the next day, they play though the other "gameplay point". Of course, there are challenges and other additions to the event to enhance your EarthBounding experience. I plan to add EB Zero to the next Gameplay. F-U-N!

A Funktastic Summer Gameplay would definitly be cool. It should have some helpful tips in addition to the standard Funktastic Gameplays. EBounding and Guruzeth should have a special Help-line for the days events, and that would be good.

I remember Tomato talking about making an actual online Game Guide for EarthBound. Maybe that could be done during the gameplay so people who need help, can get it from the online guide (and then the Help Line). Of course, with all this PK Hackage, I dunno what he's going to do next.

1) I did go on Cliffhanger. Four times. They turned off the water spray because it was cold.

2) For some unknown reason, I missed the Funktastic Gameplay for the most part last year. Darn. I have to do it this year.

3) How about a contest where the players get a riddle about something/place/one obscure in the area so the players have to play to find the answer. One early example could be, what colour is the Onett apartment of the person who asks about Yesterday? Just a thought.

4) Isn't it tacky when someone uses numbers to sort points in a letter. I think so.

3) Plo's HARD Triva is similar to what you suggested, except...harder. And if you feel sarcastic, go to guruzeth's EASY Trivia. Of course, the EASY trivia has nothing to do with obscure items.

4) My History teacher used to go, "Make...A LIST! A list! To...PREPARE YOUR ANSWER". I guess you'd have to be there...

Another Gameplay Summer, eh? I didn't take part in any of the others, so I might as well try. Include some Trivia challenges next time, like that big one that was held before.

This is my first time on the mailbag.. But anyway.. I Really never followed Funktastic Gameplay. But I really loved the ideas of the Funfests. Having Themed, Songs,Flukes and such like that. That delivered Big things. Like the Mr.Saturn Stuff.. that was big.

Hey you freaky hippy. I got my copy of EarthBound at Best Buy for $7 a few years back, too.

I've also seen MANY brand-new games for $5. Best Buy has them sometimes, and Toys R Us has them frequently. Tata.



I gots lots o' letters from people saying how cool they were because they got EB for 2 dollars or something. Well FINE! :P

The petition is working...

Errr... Uh... TendoBox is getting people to sign, anyway.

I think the Petition will work almost definately. We have almost 2500 at this writing... We will surely have 10000 by the time you guys send it to Nintendo.

Also, get all your friends to sign. I use a "Little White Lie Strategy". Tell them it's a (insert game type they like here, like shoot-em-up, or Strategy game, or something). If that doesn't work, try sneaking into their house and signing under their name via their computer. BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA! We will succeed! Resistance is futile!

Well, we want the petition to be legit. Which means we want as many REAL people who are semi-interested in the game. Just tell anyone that plays video games about the petition. That should be good.

Recently Tomato has released...PKHACK! It rocks! You can do anything on it! It is supa-cool! I am just curious how the little red thing does it!

I was very sad when I got my newest EGM in the mail and on page 44 it read: "Nintendo news-Mother 3 and Mini Racers...have apparently both been canceled. Mother 3 is still in development, but don't expect it to be released anytime soon." Why does Nintendo torture me and the rest of the people wanting a GOOD RPG on N64, and yes I already have signed your petition. On another note why did you change your site from earthbound.net to starmen.net?

I haven't seen the article for myself, but I heard that was in the rumors/gossip section of the magazine. So that may not be sure. I'm fairly confident Mother 3 will be coming out sometime this month or the next. Of course, we could end up just waiting for Godot or something.

And about the domain change, we didn't WANT to change the name. Someone by the name of Buzz-Buzz, owned the domain name. For many of his "reasons" he decided to go and make his own "site". So we polled for other domain names, and Starmen.net was the winner. We have no association with him whatsoever.

Okay, this isn't about the topic, but it's cool anyway.

I'm trying to publicize (izzat spelled right?) the petition as much as possible. So far, I've only linked it from my site. *But* I have an idea that will draw in hundreds of thousands of signatures, hopefully: Ever see "Internet Tonight" on ZDTV? They take websites and talk about 'em (part of the show, anyway). If they talk about the EB64 petition on there, that would draw many many sigs.

I've seen ZDTV for a few seconds on my friends digital cable. They said "this is one of the most boring stations *click*". It could have been just a bad show, but regaurdless, TV would give us a substantial amount of sigs. Getting there is the hard part.
