Lost Underworld

"Black Hole"

The light in the Lost Underworld comes from Lumine Hole. So where's the light in Lumine Hole coming from? The trees in Deep Darkness "send" light through the tree roots to the fungi. This explains why it's so dark when you first enter Deep Darkness; all the light's being sucked into the fungi underground. And the fungi send power from the Earth (remember, Lumine Hole is the site of a Sanctuary) to the trees. The Hawk Eye just spreads the "light draining area" all over the earth, which make sit unnoticable. Another thing the Hawk Eye does is spread the "light delivery area" all over Tenda Village and the Underworld.

Boom!!!

First, how they could survive:

When the comet/meteor/whatever hit the Earth millions of years ago, blotting out the sun and making everything die, the Lost Underworld was near the comet/meteor/whatever (though not *too* near, of course). The wave of earth covered the Lost Underworld, but didn't collapse over it, making a cave, which wouldn't be stable for a while, since it was just dirt covering it up.

Now, the light:

Umm...Lumine Hall?

Well, it's all answered in the Resident Evil games. Y'see, Umbrella was experimenting with the E(Earthbound)-Virus, and the animals got loose. But, no animals decayed except the humans (in Threed). After Giygas was destroyed, an antidote was released, causing all the animals to become normal. But, however, Ness had already done that, so it was pretty much useless.

You're Off By 59 Million Years

6 million years ago...The dinasours are the supreme rulers of the earth, till the comet hits which explodes, implodes, and makes a big mess. The seas flood, the volcanoes blow, and the earth is swallowed into itself. One area is taken a half a mile underground with a group of dinasours and a collapsed section of the Tendas caves. Inclusive of the hollow earth is a subterrainean volcano which emits light and creates frequent geyser activities which makes sense when you think about how fr antic the dinasours are for such activity.

Must Have Some Guidance System...

What I think is happening with the Lost Underworld is that it is what happened to all the prehistoric creatures. I say they where hit by a missle from Giegue, who has SOME relationship with Giygas, and the Earth was turned inside out. Everything was blown under, humans were formed, and that is what happened. I think. Thank you.

Moldyspores?

What's going on in the Lost Underworld: Well... there is no light in the Lost Under world, its the Hawk Eye. If you say "What if you don't have the hawk eye when you are in Lost Under World?" Well, you should know that you have the power of hawk eye with you, it dissappears in Deep Darkness. The Tenda and the Dinosaurs all can see in the dark down there. All plants feed off mold that grew there and thats how the plants grew. A pretty reasonable theory!
