The Exception

If the newest letterage funk that is devouring my soul and the main page is any indication, things will be changing here at Articles, the Bill Cosby off all Starmen.net sections. While I can't speculate about what flood of good or bad articles that will come out of our upcoming new crew, I can picture this section becoming more successful than even I, a local article enthusiast, could've ever imagined. But, oh snap, there would be drastic changes coming soon. A co-maintainer. PappyCat, as far as I am concerned, set the de facto standard in what the next batch of staffers should be like. Since I've been enamored with her open mind and resourcefulness lately, I'll just say this fantastic staffer knows the score, but will her new partner? Doubt it. www.hosscat.com would be a more sensible PappyCat partner, but that's only because a little Cat-Cat article connection would just be there for shock value. That, and some wicked awesome XXL clothes at bargain prices. Can you beat that? You sure can.

I can't help but wonder what new topics will be tackled when all of these new games arrive on the scene. One of the new topics could come from potential new EarthBound merchandise if the game was successful. Although I find merchandise from www.ebfarm.com more appealing, I can't help but wonder if I'll one day be beating an old woman at K-Mart for my own pair of Mr. Saturn briefs. If I'm willing to buy import copies of the new GBA stuffage for box art alone, you better believe I'll take down my fair share of those white-haired Frauen. I'd slap a headlock on a grannie quicker than you can say Francophobia, and it'd probably take less time than that for me to writhe in pain if I ever tried on the things. That's right, pain. Pain; pardon me, but I had a strange flashback to my debate. Anywho, Bill Walton wouldn't be able to rant and rave as much as we will soon, and for all things good and Krakenlicious, there will be a new feature or two thrown around to boot. Imagine. Boxing esque debate "cards", debate teams, and maybe we'll get another essay contest or two down the pipeline with more than one staffer risking life and limb to entertain us clowns with articles.

Karl Malone enjoys good lawn care products the way I enjoy well-written articles. You can't forget how completely obvlivious people were about articles until just recently. We've improved to the best of our ability, but our "abilities" are about to increase significantly once we pick up a plethora of new writers. As I write this, I'm humbled. I remember the dire situation of this section, I can recall the days PappyCat and I mixed about as well as Michael Jordan and the rest of the Wizards, and you better believe I remember thinking that things would never get better. Believing to myself that things would fade away. If hanging around an idle community is a death sentence, we've been reprieved. Case in point, we don't even know how and when North America will receive their EarthBound love, but we're still good to go.

In theory, the future of articles is brighter than the future of a Mr. Byron Winifred Leftwich, and there's no bigger fan of that than me. Where will I be? Playing EarthBound and reading every ill-conceived piece you can muster, buddy. I can't help but remember to months ago when I read one of those classic PappyCat rebuttle articles when she stated we were in a Golden Age last Summer. Get ready to redefine what you find get, raise those standards, and keep those eyes peeled for some future article greatness. We're finally being taken care of, and all of the chocolate bunnies in the world couldn't compare with the things to look forward to in the near future. The staff may need to buckle down, but us fans, we get a real treat. We're sitting here wondering who the next Zeth will be, pondering if there could actually be another writer on par with Anthadd, and even holding out hope for that next entertaining newcomer with a heart of gold. Thanks for the memories, and thanks for the future.
