The hand represents Pokey's hold on the city of Fourside. In the left half, floats the meteor found in Onett. The sea below Fourside represents the Sea of Eden, the Kraken fighting the UFO has it's tail wrapped around the hand.

Fourside is a world in its own, in the background is Gigyas' fortess. In the top left corner is the crazy taxi driving through the wall. Below is the sea of Eden.
