Don't pay high Drugstore prices for baseball hats...get one for free in Onett! Go to the spot a little northwest of the library where the kid is standing guard. Walk into the forest behind him and go straight up. Once you are in the hideout, talk to all the kids. One of them will give you the Mr. Baseball cap, better than the one you can buy at the store.

1. After collecting lots of cash (its best to wait until later in the game) go back to the starting town, Onett. Go all the way southwest and follow the dirt trail to the house. 2. In front of the house is a man. Talk to him, and after a while he'll ask you if you want to buy the house. 3. Say yes. Go in to the house and over to the drawer in the corner. 4. Select "Check" under commands. NOTE: This may be easier from the back-side of the drawer. 5. Choose to read the article. Enjoy ;-)

The trip from Onett to Twoson definitely constitutes a nap in the hotel and some cool new equipment from the department store, but this will cost you some extra cash. To make up for this (and then some), make a trip to Burglin Park. Visit the guy at the egg stand and buy all the eggs you can (get rid of the unneccessary stuff in your bag to make room). Once you're stocked up, take a nice walk and visit with everyone. You should soon start hearing lots of little peeps. That means you have chicks! Run around for a little while longer and you'll hear a 'bgock!'. That means your chicks have grown up and they're ready to sell. Go find someone to sell them to (easiest way is to find someone in the park or the department store). They'll buy them off you for $110 each! Repeat as many times as needed.

If that trick to get rich quick off of chickens doesn't appeal to you, perhaps you'd like something easier (and much more fun). Go into the hotel in Twoson and check out the lobby. There's a man in there who would rather be talking to anyone but you. If you talk to this wonderful, considerate, nice man long enough, he'll give you a whopping 50 bucks just to get you off his back! Don't you wish that happened more often?

Everyone has encountered, and by now, surely hates Ramblin' Evil Mushrooms or the like. If you get sprinkled upon by a Mushroom and a mushroom grows on your head, the controls will go off the wall. To cope with this until you get to a hospital, turn the controller in your hands so that the arrow that makes you go up (North, in the game) is in its usual position. When you get to the hospital, make sure you talk to a healer (the dude with the purple hair and looks chinese). He'll buy the shroom for $50!

When you try to pay off the Runaway Five's debt, make sure you take the money behind the counter for the manager to look at. Maybe he'll use the money to buy some glasses.

Do you hate having to battle your way through all those enemies to get to Mondo Mole? There is a way to bypass it! Instead of Ness and Paula fighting Mondo Mole right after the defeat of CarPainter, go to Twoson instead. Walk around, talk to everyone, and do everything you need to do (including paying off the theater manager). When you're ready to leave for Threed on the Runaway Five's bus (talk only to the Runaway Five guy standing outside the bus), walk off and go back through Peaceful Rest Valley, to Happy Happy Village, and then to Mondo Mole's cave. Guess what! No enemies!

After you defeat Master Belch behind the GrapeFruit falls, go back to Threed and enter the hospital. Go up the stairs to the empty room and check the drawers. You should find an 'Insignificant Item'. Catch a bus back to Twoson and go to the upper floor of their hospital. Give the item to the man in the first room. He'll show his eternal thanks with a very rare souvenir from Scaraba: a magic truffle! One of those will restore around 80 PP, and is especially useful now since they don't show up until much later.

In the Dusty Dunes Desert, you'll meet Pancho, Pincho, and Thomas Jefferson (sometimes its best not to ask questions...). Insert a dollar into the broken slot machine and watch them spin! Even though it doesn't happen often, you can win prizes. Get the following combinations and win:

Three 7's (Everyone facing forward):
PSI Caramel
Three Lemons (Everyone facing away from you):
Chick
Three 8's (Everyone facing your right):
Skip Sandwich
Three Apples (Everyone facing your left):
Can of Fruit Juice

While in the Dusty Dunes Desert, you might come across a tiny thing running like crazy from you. Go after it and fight it, its a Criminal Caterpillar. These little buggers will fetch you a whopping 10,000 experience points! Its a great way to build levels before fighting those annoying moles.

Despite the name, the peanut cheese bars are great! They can restore around 100 HP, but they only cost $22! Get 'em from Saturn Valley.

Although Mr. Saturn and the player's guide both drop hints, this one is still missed by a lot of people. After yappin with the Mr. Saturns, healing up, and stocking up on new weapons, go to the waterfall just northwest of the cave exit. Once there, get your picture taken, and then walk up and behind the waterfall. Something will be there and it will ask for the password. Sit around and do nothing for 3 minutes...don't touch the control pad. After your wait, it'll say you can come in.

To get the Broken Antenna (when fixed, becomes the Gaia Beam, Jeff's most powerful weapon) for Jeff, go to the Tenda Village and enter the cave that leads to Lumine Hall. The broken antenna is held by the Uncontrollable Sphere, but, like the other special items, you have a 1 in 128 chance of getting it.

To get an Earth Pendant for Jeff and Paula (For you can only find one somewhere else, or buy it in Magicant), buy three pendants, one for you, one for Paula and one for Jeff. Then go to your Magicant home and talk to Tracy. Store the pendants with her and finish Magicant. When you come back you can simply call Escargo Express and have them deliver it to you. Now equip!

Don't have enough money to buy that expensive new bracelet? That awesome baseball bat? Sell all your old weapons and accessories! You won't need them after you get new ones. And you get half the price you paid for them, which isn't a bad deal.

Back

Need a great way to build experience? After you've beaten one of the guardians of Your Sanctuaries, all the enemies in the cave will run from you. You can use this to your advantage. Walk up behind them and get the first hits in. You should be able to finish them off before they can fight back.

The Casey bat may look like an amazing item, but it isn't. You get it after defeating Master Barf (not Master Belch). Despite it's power, the hit accuracy is horrible. You'll get about 1 of 4 hits, which definitely isn't worth the extra power. A good way to remember this is that annoying story/poem thing we all probably had read to us in first grade about 'Casey at bat'...he struck out.

If you suddenly begin missing during battle and messages pop up about your favorite food and such, you're homesick. Run to the nearest phone and call mom (and don't pick too many fights along the way). Check for other ailments by accessing your Status bar.

It is little known that rock candy can raise an attribute if used during battle, but it is even more unobserved that rock candy can raise attributes an unlimited amount of times if you have condiments! If you have a condiment, and use rock candy during a battle, one attribute will be raised. The neat thing is that a condiment is used, and the rock candy remains! Use this to your advantage!
