Sanctuary Boy
One of the things I always liked about the game was the subversion of the usual roles. Save for having one (costy) offensive technique, our hero, Ness, is more of a white mage and barrier maiden... er... barrier boy, full of healing psychic techniques and shields. In turn, game girl Paula is the Black Mage. 'course you can argue that Ness pummels middle aged ladies and new age retro hippies with a baseball bat of righteousness that deals QUITE a punch, but there IS a point in the game where I really just relied on a friend Paula introduced me to: "PK FREEZE."
This picture is like, CAREBEAR level of 80s light-vs-dark brand tropeness, but I don't care. It's what Ness makes you feel sometimes. The rest of the time, sadistic glee over batting mooks and/or robots in the face.
PERFECT 10! The score will say 1.10, but it's actually 10.
