The Artist Spotlight is a showcase of an individual fan artist's collective works that display high dedication to EarthBound and above average artistic ability. Every artist chosen for the spotlight has shown immense creative and artistic progress and has created works that look at EarthBound from new and varying angles and brought life back into the 10-year-old SNES game we all cherish.

A new artist will be chosen on the 15th and last day of every month.

While his Fanart collection is somewhat modest, Darrow is undoubtedly known for his hard work on the comic series, The Chosen Four. His older works show development of caricatures, anatomy, and style. As he streamlined his works, though, he chose a bold color scheme both for strength and for simplicity, a necessity both for churning out comics and for keeping the style reminiscent of the MOTHER series's sprites. The colors are vibrant and each image (or panel, for the comics) shows a specific mindset and emotion. Perhaps his most memorable ability is to create luscious creations of personality and physical appearance from the in-game sprites. His Giegue/Giygas is especially haunting, showing a crazed breakdown as the form of Giegue slowly cracks away to madness. Buzz-Buzz, Reginald the Exit Mouse, Maxwell Labs, every Sanctuary boss, and many many more familiar faces shine brightly and stand out as their own individual, a true marvel while browsing his series. Talent like this is truly remarkable, so if you haven't caught up, it's well worth the hours you can spend just looking at every one of his artworks.
